Politics is not only about the economy and world power, but it, in one way or another, has a huge impact in effecting how people think. This book not only discusses the impact of policies and decisions of politics on current conditions but also describes how it can affect the country’s economy, position, and individual thinking in the future.
Despite all the crises that the world has been facing due to political conflicts, this book motivates us to be the change we want to see in our world. This book sends out a message and courage to individuals to put an end to racial discrimination and maintain love and harmony among each other. I have been through racial discrimination throughout my life since I am an Italian American, but I fought through all the worst days that came in my life, and they made me much stronger than I thought I was.
HOW SOCIETAL NORMS REVOLUTIONIZED
When I moved to Palm Beach, Florida, I always sensed a feeling of not being one of them. Racial discrimination was deeply rooted in the country. I faced many challenges and struggled for a long period of time due to the native’s behaviour. When Trump came into being a political figure, many things changed during his tenure, and people’s perspectives on racial discrimination were one of them. What I realized was that no matter what a political figure says, his statements make a huge difference in the country’s culture.
Trump transformed the whole societal makeup of Palm Beach. He in one way or the other enhanced all those evil societal norms that had prevailed in society and one of them was racial discrimination. In my opinion, Trump’s tenure was the one political era for me that ignited white supremacy and neglected the rights of other minorities. This book deals with not only racial discrimination or Trump’s impact on our country as a political figure. It is more about my life experiences that serve as a motivation and source of inspiration for others.
MY BOOK AND TRUMP’S IMPACT ON MAKING PALM BEACH A BETTER PLACE
In other words, my book “Trump and Racism” provides comprehensive documentation of the altered dynamism of Palm Beach from the early 1980s up to the early 2000s, influenced greatly by Trump. Therefore, according to this book, my purpose is to employ firsthand experience as an Italian-American navigating through a world dominated by WASP to describe the changes that Trump initiated in the context of the town in terms of social/political structure.
Trump’s major acquisition of Mar-a-Lago was illustrative of his stunning power and he further showed he had sufficient legal and business clout to go through the litigation process against Palm Beach International Airport. But his effect did not only go on in litigation-related issues. Although my influence, did not only end there in litigious situations. Mar-a-Lago, which had been set in the town a long time ago as a social establishment of elite people with exclusionary standards, opened the place to audiences that were less privileged than the previous town occupants, with Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, and Italians among the invitees.
